Life is sometimes difficult.
We all suffer moments of distress and vulnerability. Certain situations are more difficult to overcome than others and at times we fear we will not make it. In these moments, the support of the people close to us is precious but not always enough. A Psychologist can help and support you through these difficult times.
We, Dr Sylvie Boucher, Ph.D., Psychologist, and collegues, are an experienced team of Psychologists averaging 30 years experience per team member. We are all passionate about psychology and keep ourselves up to date with the latest psychology practices. We pride ourselves on the quality of help we give to clients who place their trust in us.
After more than 30 years of practice, we are now able to offer a new and original approach, built on a solid clinical experience and several years of training. Essentially, we work not only at helping people cope and resolve difficult personal situations, but also and above all, we try to help these people develop and consolidate their own resources and inner strength. Our positive approach aims at helping people who consult us to develop their capacity for happiness.
In today's society, making a living with dignity and honesty, respecting ourselves and others, is already a big challenge. However, it seems that today we are striving for more. We want to live, not only survive. Our approach is to accompany you on this journey.
Since we form and maintain our couple relationship from our own internal criterias and not because society, religion or financial conditions are forcing us to do so, we realize how valuable but difficult and demanding this project is. Men and women think and feel things differently. That is why we offer couples therapy with both a male and female therapist present. Both couple therapists accompany you on your adventure to form a happy couple, focusing on the quality of the relationship.
"Currently, most group insurance plans allow for the reimbursement of at least a portion of the expenses incurred for a psychological consultation. Some individual plans also cover these expenses. Since reimbursement policies vary from one plan to another, it is important to read your policy carefully or to get information from your employer or union representative to understand which clauses apply. * Furthermore, ‘‘fees paid to a psychologist for therapy qualify as income-tax healthcare deductions provided the receipts issued by the psychologist are filed with the return. However, the expenses that have been reimbursed by an insurance company do not qualify as an income-tax healthcare deduction." *
